Winter walking to Riederalp

The high-altitude route from Fiescheralp to Riederalp measures just over nine kilometres with 343 metres of ascent and takes around three and three-quarter hours. It runs the whole way above two thousand metres along the mountainside, with constant views over the Rhône valley. The path is groomed, so snowshoes aren't needed. Along the way you pass Bettmeralp, where you can break off or continue. You return by cable car and train, the villages are well connected to one another.
