We're Piet & Paula, and you're welcome at our place in Ried-Brig.

We are Piet and Paula Koorn. In 2026 we swapped Hoogkarspel for Ried-Brig with our two young children. The Netherlands felt ever fuller and more hurried; we noticed we no longer quite felt at home in the country we grew up in.

Over the past six years we lost our hearts to Switzerland: to the calm, the space and the mountains. Valais felt like coming home from day one. We now love sharing that place: the top floor of our chalet is your base camp.

We're mad about sport, summer and winter: in winter you'll find us on the pistes of Rosswald and Bettmeralp, in summer we run and hike the trails around the village. Want tips for a route, a mountain hut or a restaurant? Just message us. We're happy to help.
