Snowshoe hike to the Galmihornhütte

Of the eight marked snowshoe routes in the Goms, the Galmihornhütte Trail is the most beautiful and the toughest: 9.59 kilometres with 723 metres of ascent, taking around four and a half hours. The route climbs out of the valley up the flank to the mountain hut, with ever wider views over the valley as you go. It's a serious outing that demands fitness and time. Set off early and check the avalanche bulletin. For something shorter, there are seven other routes to choose from.
