Blausee

The Blausee is the small mountain lake between Riederalp and Bettmeralp, with a wooden jetty where you can sit with your feet in the water. The lake is too small and too cold for a proper swim, but just right for a break halfway through a walk. Alpine meadows surround it, full of flowers in June and July. The chairlift from Bettmeralp sets you down almost right beside it. On a still morning the glacier wall is mirrored in its surface.
