Weg der 18 Viertausender

This hiking trail descends from Hohsaas back to Saas-Grund at 1,559 metres and takes its name from the eighteen four-thousanders you can pick out along the way. At every viewpoint a sign shows which summit you're looking at, from the Fletschhorn to the Dufourspitze. It's a descent, so the cable car does the hard work. The path is well signposted but stony in places. On a clear day, this is the best overview of the Saastal you can get on foot.
