Trotti-bike ride to Blatten

On a Trotti-Bike, a kind of heavy-duty scooter with fat tyres and strong brakes, you roll eight kilometres from Belalp back down to Blatten. The descent takes around an hour and a half if you stop to look along the way, and costs CHF 10 per ride. You don't pedal, only steer and brake, so it suits anyone from around ten years old. The road is surfaced and wide. Along the way you have an almost constant view of the mountains on the other side of the Rhône valley.
