Simplon Pass snowshoe trail

A signposted snowshoe route of 3.85 kilometres with 178 metres of ascent, taking around two hours and rated easy. There's also a weekly-groomed five-kilometre winter walking trail for those who'd rather just walk. The pass plateau is open and wide, so you have views all around the whole time, quite unlike a walk through forest. It's also noticeably windier up here, so dress warmly. Both routes start at the car parks on the pass.
