Skiing at Rothwald

Twenty-five kilometres of piste, two drag lifts and a children's lift, that's all there is, and that's exactly its charm. You drive right up to the slope, there's no cable car and no queue, and a day pass costs around CHF 44. The split is twenty per cent easy, sixty per cent intermediate and twenty per cent difficult. The season runs roughly from late December to the end of March. For an afternoon of skiing without any fuss, this is the closest alternative to the big resorts.
