Mountain biking and the Peak Collection

More than a hundred kilometres of bike trails surround Zermatt, between 1,400 and 3,100 metres, ranging from flowing descents to technical high-mountain routes. At the Rothorn there's also the Peak Collection, an open-air sculpture exhibition at high altitude. Europe's highest hiking trail runs here, at 3,415 metres. The cable cars carry bikes, so climbing is optional. Hire and guiding are widely available in the village.
