Matterhorn Glacier Paradise

At 3,883 metres, this is the highest mountain station in Europe, reached by the Matterhorn Glacier Ride, the highest 3S cable cars in the world, some with glass floors. From the platform you can see fourteen glaciers and thirty-eight four-thousanders. Fifteen metres below the surface lies the Glacier Palace, an ice grotto with sculptures and an ice slide. There's also Europe's highest cinema. Dress warmly: even in August it's well below freezing up here.
