Kreuzboden discovery trail and Weissmieshütte

At the Kreuzboden mid-station, at 2,400 metres, there's a twelve-hundred-metre discovery trail with water play features along the Kreuzbodensee, exactly what you need once the children have had enough of just walking. From the same point, it's about an hour's walk to the Weissmieshütte at 2,726 metres, a mountain hut explicitly promoted as child-friendly. Up there you can eat and, if you like, stay overnight. The path there is short and manageable. One of the best-organised family mountain days in the area.
