Rock climbing at the Hohbalm

Below the Bettmerhorn, at the Hohbalm, lies a climbing area with more than thirty bolted routes across a range of difficulties. At the Bettmersee there are another fifteen routes, and eighteen more at the Adler, so there's enough for a full week. The rock is compact granite and approach times are short. You climb here with the glacier in view the whole time, making it one of the more beautifully situated climbing areas in Valais. Bring your own gear or book a guide through the Arena.
