Maria zum Schnee chapel

The white Maria zum Schnee chapel stands at the heart of the car-free village and is the image everyone associates with Bettmeralp from every postcard. In winter the snow reaches its door with skiers gliding right past; in summer the meadow around it is full of flowers. The chapel is open during the day and simple and small inside. Services are still held there. It's the place where everyone pauses for a moment, even those who don't normally visit churches.
