Lötschentaler Höhenweg

The Höhenweg runs for 9.4 kilometres from the Lauchernalp to the Fafleralp and takes about two and a half to three hours. The path stays high on the sunny side of the valley, with a constant view of the UNESCO Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn site opposite. There's hardly any climbing involved, which makes the hike more accessible than the distance suggests. Those wanting more can take the 17.2-kilometre variant to Jeizinen, taking almost six hours. The way back is by postbus through the valley.
