Cross-country skiing on the plateau

On the high plateau around the pass there are around eight kilometres of cross-country trails, at an altitude where the snow lasts well. The terrain is open, so you ski with clear views of the four-thousanders across the valley rather than between trees. It's a compact network, not a full day's tour, but just right for a morning. Equipment can be hired in the villages. Combine it with an afternoon's skiing on the same pass.
