Hannigalp-Saas-Fee high route

This high route links the Mattertal with the Saastal and is a demanding day hike, walkable from June to October. You walk high along the flank, crossing a wooden footbridge above the Schweibbach, before finally descending into Saas-Fee. Allow a full day with a serious amount of ascent and descent, and set off early. The way back is by public transport via Visp. For experienced mountain walkers, this is one of the finest day hikes in the whole region.
