Visperterminen
Reblehrpfad through the vineyards
The Reblehrpfad climbs 7.8 kilometres and 771 metres from Visp to Visperterminen, straight through Europe's highest continuous vineyard. The terraces range from 650 to 1,150 metres and are still worked by hand. Information boards along the way explain how the Heida grape, known elsewhere as Savagnin Blanc, has grown here for centuries. Allow around two and a half hours going up; you can take the bus back down. At the top, the St. Jodernkellerei awaits for a tasting.
